Dells IEO (Infrastructure Engineering & Operations) organization provides a set of shared services for engineering labs and engineering teams across all divisions of ISG, supporting product development. The Content Management, Security & Automation Services Team within IEO has team members in India, Ireland and Poland and is responsible for delivering Content, security & automation solutions for multiple device types in engineering labs across the globe. Our goal is to provide an enterprise-level service to device users and lab managers. This enables them to secure their devices from vulnerabilities in a self-service manner at a time of their choosing, whether on a per device level or in bulk. Although the service leverages multiple underlying technologies to achieve its goal it will be presented seamlessly as a single service and single experience to users and lab managers.


As a Senior Software Engineer within IEO Content Management team you will help design and develop a service, comprised of several services, to integrate with multiple external systems, determine activities that need to execute and coordinate activities between those systems.


As part of a globally dispersed, high performing team you will report to the Manager, Content Management & Automation, who is based in Bangalore, India. As part of a globally distributed team, you must have strong English, combined with an openness to learning new technologies and different ways of thinking about how to solve problems.


**Key Responsibilities**


+ Participate in solution design based on requirements and road maps for content management and automation

+ Analyze and clarify technical requirements and contribute to implementation plans

+ Work with engineers and project leads to implement new systems, policies, standards and practices

+ Contribute to development activities by implementing new features, enhancements and fixing defects

+ Create, deploy and maintain Windows and Linux server images

+ Document server administration processes and procedures

+ Participate in cross-geo communications between internal and external team members


**Essential Requirements:**


+ University Degree with a major in Computer Science or equivalent

+ 6+ years of Infrastructure build and deployment experience

+ Hands-on experience working with VMware vRealize Automation 8.x, VMware vSphere and VMware templates

+ Knowledge and hands-on experience of setup, configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows, Linux and ESXi operating systems

+ Knowledge and hands-on experience of Ansible and Jenkins

+ Hands-on experience with Bash, PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI and TCP/IP networking

+ Readiness and ability to learn new technologies and take initiative

+ Great communication skills with a collaborative mindset


**Desirable Requirements:**


+ Automation experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems

+ Knowledge of bare metal Microsoft Windows and Linux installations.

+ Awareness of Agile software development principles and best practices

+ Experience in working with bug tracking, collaboration tools, JIRA and ServiceNow

+ Experience in working with source control systems, based on Git
