As a Senior Specialist System Engineer, youll translate the core architecture for business requirements into a final technical solution (consisting of platform, network, software, cloud, etc.). In this hands-on role, youll deliver results through functional, performance and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. The ultimate goal? Delivery of an application of service that impacts the future of connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, document, and analyze technology systems, maximizing reuse of target state platforms such as API, data fabric, or data routing platforms
Engineer integrated hardware and software solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs
Coordinate design, specification and integration of total systems and subsystems
Assess (proof of concept) and recommend solutions (algorithms and products) to improve the current systems
Heres what youll need:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math preferred; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent
and/or
2-3 years of technical experience
What skills do you need to succeed?
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to produce technical writings
The ability to independently apply judgement to analyzing and solving problems
Experience with Unix, Linux System Admin, JSON, XML, Python, PHP
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A solid understanding of VPNs, VMware Novice, VMs running on top of RHEL 7.x/8.x
Familiarity with Microsoft Office & Teams
