Contract Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per week with oncall duties

THE TEAM
Our teams are comprised of between 2-7 people, sometimes split over multiple timezones. The focus of the Technical Operations team is to ensure that products and systems are maintainable, sustainable and robust whilst ensuring the smooth delivery of new features to our products and services by working closely with Engineering and Product teams, collocated where possible.
THE JOB
To quote an old colleague we need to know how to get our hands dirty but wash them afterwards to keep them clean
We provide our services through a combination of good standards in combination with capacity, performance and cost optimisations whilst supporting development through to production via tooling and automation where possible. We also provide physical or virtual infrastructure support where needed. This may involve assisting low level trouble shooting for network, storage or system issues or interfacing with external service providers.
We are responsible for designing, building and running our infrastructure services; highlighting and then executing where improvements can be made with regards to stability, security or cost.
Our business is online 24/7, so you will be occasionally be required to work out of hours or provide on-call duty on a rota basis.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Participate in regular stand-ups and communicating updates on tasks or project status.
Partner with Development & Engineering teams to provide integrations with our Asset Management Platform
Conduct upgrades of our Asset Management Platform to latest releases
Become a core contributor to our Datacenter team transformation through implementation of solutions and automation.
Maintaining comprehensive documentation for both compliance and knowledge purposes.
Escalating to management where issues arise in a timely manner.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS)
Great Knowledge of Linux Systems Administration, RHEL or Debian based Distributions
Good Knowledge of Linux Kickstart and Windows Sysprep
Good Knowledge of bare metal OS installations and Automation
Some knowledge of Windows Administration would be useful (MaaS would be useful)
Strong Coding/Scripting knowledge, we use Python and Golang as our main code choices
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, gitlab-ci etc.
Ability to work with Kubernetes for deployments would be useful
Ansible knowledge would be useful as we move to automate all the things.

CO Hiring Range*: $129,033 - $155,870
