Disney Streaming Services, a global leader in direct-to-consumer video streaming products and solutions,
is responsible for developing and operating The Walt Disney Companys direct-to-consumer video businesses globally including ESPN+, Disney+, Star+ and Hulu.
This position is an opportunity to be a part of a newly combined Identity Engineering organization within Disney Streaming providing identity services for our streaming products and across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC). This Senior Technical Program Manager role is a lead program position that will drive efficiency and coordination to support key initiatives for the engineering organization and is based in New York.
Responsibilities:
+ This is a senior level technical program management position that will provide support to the Identity Engineering teams and lead overall program coordination throughout the Identity Organization. This involves leading large scale cross team initiatives.
+ Manage technical teams, serve in scrum ceremonies, and provide release support as needed.
+ Work with Product, design and other key stakeholders to support engineering efforts.
+ Work with engineering teams and leadership to establish processes that will ensure success on high priority business initiatives and improve efficiency.
+ Lead planning meetings, scrum ceremonies and cross functional coordination.
+ Manage program reporting for engineering efforts.
+ Potential to manage other Technical Program Managers.
Qualifications:
+ Established in Technical Project/Program Management, with 7+ years experience in the software industry.
+ Experience managing technical teams, scrum teams, software development lifecycle delivery, and release management.
+ Experience working with product and design and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and engage with engineering teams to drive projects forward.
+ Have experience in managing the development of back-end service and consumer-facing software.
+ Have experience executing Agile and other software development methodologies.
+ Have experience with industry-standard project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
+ Excel at working with project stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, and you are able to effectively communicate requirements to development teams.
+ Excel in leading effective meetings, planning, documenting decisions and follow up.
+ Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks to internal and external partners.
+ Can effectively manage project tracking and reporting at all levels within the company.
+ Display initiative, take a proactive approach, and are able to start the conversation and guide other program leads in process development. Consistently evaluating processes and seeking for ways to improve at every iteration.
+ Have developed essential soft skills including meeting leadership, communication, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, problem solving, critical thinking, & conflict resolution.
+ Learn quickly and enthusiastically, particularly about technical systems and issues.
+ Expectation to maintain a positive attitude and deliver through ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Streaming media industry experience.
+ PMI Certification and CSM / CSP Certification preferred.
