Job Description
In the late 1970's, the Bose home audio business was off and running! Our founder, Dr. Amar Bose, sat in an office at MIT, musing with a colleague about a new idea. When crafting speakers for the home, it was impossible to account for the acoustics of the room those speakers sat in, where they were placed, and where they were in relation to the listener. But in the automobile cabin, you could account for all three. So, it would stand to reason that a sound system specifically crafted for a certain audio cabin could drastically improve the in-car audio experience. And when in 1982, the first Cadillac Seville rolled off the line with the first factory-installed, Bose custom-designed audio system ever, the potential of Dr. Bose's idea was realized!
Today, we work with automobile manufacturers across the globe to deliver outstanding audio-based experiences and more, applying thoughtfully coordinated meticulously engineered loudspeakers, amplifiers, and signal processing. And even though we've done incredible things, we know we've only scratched the surface of what's possible.
