Senior Technology Manager - GMOT Reconciliations

**Job Description:**
**Summary of Role** :
Global responsibility for the Reconciliations function within Operations Technology. The role spans people, technology and process aligned to delivering capabilities and workflows in support of the Operations function. It is primarily leading software development across multiple applications while managing the interface and relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders, in an environment of competing priorities driven by business enablement, regulatory, market and risk initiatives.
**Job Description:**
Responsible for managing and leading 15+ global teams in delivery of reconciliations technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Ensures people are developing as engineers through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development. Accountable for team/program level resource and financial management; builds and maintains teams through talent acquisition. Sets maturity objectives and enables individuals/teams with training & resources to achieve them. Sets and tracks quality and performance objectives. Facilitates performance and career development of individuals through performance reviews, coaching, and building individual development plans that are needed to develop competencies and skills. Understands individual and team maturity and performance management.
Manages the interface and relationships with Operations and Technology stakeholders and senior leaders, as well as vendors for technical products. Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
Responsible for creating technology strategy aligned to product strategy in collaboration with Product Management, Product Owners, Architects, and other key stakeholders. Accountable for ensuring that design solutions are consistent with agreed strategy and comply with applicable Bank policies and standards. Ensures that solution(s) delivery meets all relevant change, risk and compliance policies and is accountable for the stability, performance, and capacity of the Production environment. Plans software and infrastructure upgrades to maintain a modern, current, and supported Production estate, while reducing total cost of ownership through consolidation and decommission.
Advocates and advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelizes sustainable design, engineering, and organizational practices. Leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization.
**Required Experience:**
+ Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics
+ 15+ years business facing experience in capital markets technology areas related to Settlement and Accounts Reconciliation
+ 10+ years in recruitment, direction, compensation, and performance management of technology talent, including leveraging offshore or vendor partner development
+ 10+ years large scale, enterprise software development in Java or Python, using Agile practices
+ Technology financial management, including vendor contract negotiation and pricing
+ Technology audit, legal and regulatory compliance
+ Led, or significantly contributed to, application architecture and implementation
+ Hands on experience with SWIFT and FIX protocols
+ Proficient in relational database technologies such as SQL Server
+ Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Elasticsearch
+ Good understanding of the methodology and tooling of continuous integration and deployment

**Jersey City pay range:**
$127,400 - $215,000
annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
