The Operations Control Center Team (OCC), which is comprised of Incident, Problem, Change, and Event Management at Prudential Financial is looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join a diverse team dedicated to providing best in class core infrastructure and operations services to our customers, stakeholders, and partners.

As a part of our Chief Technology Office organization, you will work with our AppDev team, Operations team, Application Owners, Product Owners, and various business units to define solutions for core infrastructure and operations services in a cost effective and scalable manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for researching, planning, and coordinating, solutions for the ServiceNow platform

  • Develop, configure, and deliver solutions on ServiceNow platform including, but not limited to workflow administration, reporting, data imports (integration), and custom scripting (applications).

  • Partner with OCC service delivery teams to understand requirements and provide best practice advice on how to capabilities within ServiceNow

  • Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each

  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow Platform team on deployment of developed and tested code for production deployment

  • Develop and manage operational metrics reporting and dashboards

  • Experience with Performance Analytics, Service Portal and custom integrations

  • Ensures that backlog items for the OCC including automation, reports and other requests related to ServiceNow work are prioritized and completed

  • Performs operational support, maintenance and system configuration as defined in departmental operating procedures.

  • Gathers requirements, develops specifications, and prepares documentation.

  • Develops, validates, and executes comprehensive test plans.

  • Performs 24/7 on call support as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of overall IT experience with at least 3 years of experience as a Solution Engineer or Software Developer on the ServiceNow platform

  • Understanding or prior experience working in Agile environment.

  • Willingness to learn, grow, and develop on the ServiceNow Platform

  • knowledge of JavaScript

  • Understanding of UI, SQL, HTML and CSS

  • Knowledge of XML and structural programming concepts

  • Integration awareness: Rest & Soap API's

  • Knowledge of agile practices

  • problem-solving ability

Nice to haves:

  • Certification as ServiceNow Application Developer

  • ServiceNow System Admin certification

  • Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc)

  • Understanding of IT Service Management Processes; incident, problem, change, release.
