**Software Senior Engineer**


The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. **What youll achieve**

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing sophisticated systems and software, working with other technologists to build software solutions.


**You will:**


+ Manage our automated build-and-release process in Jenkins (pipeline and classic)

+ Good debugging skills to root cause build related issues.

+ Code and maintain scripts in Perl, Python and Bash.

+ Maintain Source Code Management tools specifically GIT (GitHub)

+ Install and upgrade Unix-based systems (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu)

**Essential Requirements**


+ Proven experience as DevOps/Release and Build engineer.

+ Exposure to compilers and build tools namely CMake, Makefile, Gradle etc

+ Good experience in version control, build/release engineering, continuous integration /delivery and artifact management tools Github, Jenkins pipeline, Jfrog Artifactory, Kubernetes

+ Excellent programming and scripting skills in multiple languages including Python, Bash, Powershell, etc.

+ Working knowledge of SonarQube and other code quality tools

+ Great team player with strong collaboration, problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to adapt to technologies and processes quickly.

+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills collaborate across various teams and communicate to engineers, managers, and senior leadership


**Desirable Requirements**


+ Familiar with VMWare products and technologies

+ Self-learner and passionate about technology

+ Experience in agile methodologies and software development lifecycles

+ Knowledge of cloud environments private and public (AWS and Azure)

+ Results driven, with good execution skills.


**Experience**


2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.


**Education:** Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience in a professional role with a bachelors degree or masters degree
