Senior Java Backend Developer

  • Design and develop applications and services using Java, Spring Boot technology stack integrating with other systems and deploy on cloud infrastructure.

  • Deliver using agile process and CI/CD pipelines Hands on experience with Java 1.8 or higher, Java, Spring Boot, PCF, OpenShift, Docker, Jenkins, Gradle and TDD

  • Developing high-quality and detailed designs , working with leads and architects.

  • Working experience with on of monitoring tools NewRelic, Dynatrace etc

  • Hands on experience with Java 1.8 or higher, Java, Spring Boot, OpenShift, Docker, Jenkins

  • Experience in building REST APIs/Microservices

  • Strong understanding and experience building multithreaded applications focusing on asynchronous parallel processing

  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL

  • Knowledge of AWS, AWS EKS, Databases

  • Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Engineering matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • May lead or manage sizable projects. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.

  • Recognized internally as "the go-to person" for the most complex software engineering assignments.

Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation. This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $115,100 - $191,800, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
