**Senior Principal Software Engineer**

As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customers business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

Design and lead the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust
Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes
Take part in the full software development life cycle including development, test, continuous delivery and support
Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery

Essential Requirements
+ 13+ years of software development or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience
+ Strong experience with SRE and DevOps principles and practices
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Technical leader and a good team player; partner throughout the organization
+ Mentor and constructively coach other engineers
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate to a variety of audiences, including executive management and engineering teams
+ Participate in on-call support and work through all aspects of the Incident Management process, including facilitating blameless postmortems; tools include MS Teams, ServiceNow and PagerDuty
+ Experience in performing root cause analysis for P1/P2 incidents, collaborating with partner teams to improve reliability and prevent future issues
+ Leads the review, analysis, and corrective action for issues contributing to software defects and business process problems
+ Development/programming experience in a modern language such as Python, Java, or Bash
+ Experience and proficiency in metric-based and log-based monitoring systems, like Splunk, Elastic, and Prometheus
+ Experience guiding teams in troubleshooting and decisions for remediation during incidents and major incidents in the production environment
+ Working knowledge of infrastructure components, and microservice and software architectures
+ Strong bias for action and ownership
+ Passionate about improving system reliability and the customer experience
+ Insatiable desire to learn and grow; curiosity about all things technology, development, operations, and cloud
Desirable Requirements
+ Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or related field
+ Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
+ Understanding of Agile software development processes and procedures (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
+ Understanding of ITIL processes around Event, Availability, Incident, Problem, and Change Management
+ Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and how to apply them
