THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Sr. DevOps Engineer at Xactly, you will be filling a mission-critical role ensuring that our complex systems are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale. You will use your background as an operations generalist to work closely with our development teams from the early stages of design all the way through identifying and resolving production issues. The ideal candidate is passionate about an operations role that involves deep knowledge of both the application and the product. They will also believe automation is a key component to operating large-scale systems.
This Sr. DevOps Engineer role will focus on performance and will serve as the primary contact responsible for interfacing with development on validating performance of production systems.

THE SKILL SET
4 - 6 years in a Linux-based large-scale web operations role
Good hands-on version control system like Git
Good experience and enhanced knowledge in developing continuous integration and delivery pipelines
Expertise in working with Kubernetes, Docker & Harness
Working experience in building and troubleshooting API's
Good Automation experience with Jenkins, Rundeck and hands on programming skills like Python, bash, Perl, Ruby, etc
Experience working with Terraforms
Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
Understanding and experience of configuration management tools such as Chef
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with web-based Java/J2EE architectures and JVM configuration
Knowledge in majority of the following: data structures, relational and non-relational databases, networking, Linux internals, filesystems, web architecture, and other related topics
Production experience with Map-reduce, Hadoop, and Hive, JBoss, Tomcat
Knowledge of load balancers such as HAProxy, Cisco ACE, etc.
Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing)
Ability to work well in a diverse, collaborative, and cross-functional team environment (DevOps Engineers, SREs, Product Managers, etc.)

The compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. A reasonable estimate of the range is $99,000 - $123,700 plus applicable bonus and/or commission.
