HCE is bringing on experienced engineers to help us create and maintain a 24x7, no downtime, global infrastructure system that powers our Forge engine. The Observability and Logging organization builds and operates reliable, scalable, and repeatable cloud infrastructure for HCE developers to ship great products quickly and reliably. These core systems provide introspection into the health and performance of all HCE systems and services. Your will drive and execute business processes around logging, monitoring and automation across multiple business units, such as Connected Aircraft, Building, Worker, Cyber, and Industrial.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • \r\t

  • Experience implementing, maintaining & administering ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) stack solutions and tools in multi node cluster environments.

  • \r\t

  • Experience on any one of cloud monitoring tools or APM tools such as AppDynamics, Catchpoint, Prometheus & Grafana.

  • \r\t

  • Experience creating custom queries, saved searches, alerts, visualizations, and dashboards in Kibana UI to show the value of data analysis and log aggregation to customers

  • \r\t

  • Experience with on-prem and/or cloud infrastructures to create, manage and migrate ELK clusters on Azure 2.0 platform

  • \r\t

  • Experience working in a Linux environment to configure and maintain ELK on Linux operating systems including system configurations, security/os patching, scaling, and version upgrades

  • \r\t

  • Strong networking knowledge with problem solving/troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve problems.

  • \r\t

  • Knowledge/familiarity with access control, SSL/TLS configuration, certificates, SSO authentication technologies to use ELK and security aspects.

  • \r\t

  • Manage and monitor the security and operating system vulnerabilities to remediation in Securetrack

  • \r\t

  • Leading Infrastructure projects that improve observability tools and platforms: metrics, dashboarding, alerting, logging, application performance management, blackbox monitoring, distributed tracing

  • \r\t

  • Maintaining a positive and supportive work culture

  • \r\t

  • Responsible for supporting a team of Customer Operations engineers / specialists to ensure stable logging and monitoring platforms, implementing measures to maintain high performance and uninterrupted availability of key customer web applications across the enterprise

  • \r\t

  • Collaborate with Incident and Event Mgmt to troubleshoot and resolve ELK Platform issues within set SLAs

  • \r\t

  • Assisting with implementation and administration of Elastic Platform on Kubernetes

  • \r\t

  • Ensuring end-to-end monitoring data stack from the product to display layer. Performance tuning of ELK clusters, indices and shards. Implement Dashboard, Alert creation and maintenance using Watcher on Kibana visualization tool

  • \r\t

  • Partnership with application teams to complete required tools installation and ELK updates, patches, version upgrades when required

  • \r\t

  • Create and managing Elasticsearch Index schema's and mappings

  • \r\t

  • Develop logstash pipelines using grog debugger and regex to parse the ingested data

  • \r\t

  • Configure FileBeats, MetricsBeats and possibly other ELK Stack components to collect and the

  • \r\t

  • store the data necessary to meet Sponsor requirements efficiently

  • \r\t

  • Ensure Honeywell Forge applications across business are seamlessly onboarded onto Incident & Event Management process, in addition to key stakeholders dashboards used to show availability and performance of applications.

  • \r

YOU MUST HAVE

  • \r\t

  • Bachelor€™s Degree

  • \r\t

  • 7+ years of IT experience

  • \r\t

  • 3+ years experience in managing ELK platform & platform hardening

  • \r\t

  • 3+ years working with cloud native apps, cloud monitoring tools, APM tools, Logging or observability platforms

  • \r

  • Experience on AppDynamics & CatchPoint.

  • Experience with other industry APM tools, Logging & Observability platforms.

  • Understanding and experience implementing and managing End to End Observability

  • Cloud Management €“ Azure / AWS (Provision Virtual Machine€™s, Storage accounts, Resource groups, Patch management and manage load balancers on Azure cloud platform.)

  • \r\t

  • Config Management / Automation €“ Ansible / Terraform & Any scripting language

  • CICD Knowledge

  • \r\t

  • Docker / K8

  • \r\t

  • One of the follow Scripting language, python, go, ruby, bash, or power shell.

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • \r
