Colorado Pay Range: from $140,000 per annum eligible for bonus and stock.

Aspen Mesh is looking for a passionate Senior Front End Software Engineer who wants an opportunity to work with a high-performing team in an early-stage environment. Our team is passionate about bringing a new product to the Kubernetes container and microservices market, built on the open-source project Istio. The Senior Software Engineer will focus on creating a delightlful customer experience with our enterprise service mesh and analytics platform.

As Senior Software Engineer, youll work shoulder to shoulder with our Product team to build the front end of Aspen Mesh. You will stand in close collaboration with product managers, design, and your engineering peers delivering powerful visualizations using D3 and React from observability data and metrics. Our core offering provides our customers with powerful observability and insights into the performance of their service mesh deployments.

This position can be located remotely in Boulder, CO, or Seattle, WA.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Development and other parts of the organization to build an exceptional front-end in line with business strategy and user needs

  • Act as a leader, mentor, and influencer on the engineering team

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field and 8+ years of work experience in relevant roles

  • 6+ years of experience in JavaScript and related web technologies.

  • Solid experience with D3.js to build robust data visualizations

  • Solid experience with React 16+ UI, TypeScript and Docker, unit testing and , e.g.,

    cypress e2e testing, RTK and atomic state management experience

  • Experience with web technologies (e.g., REST, gRPC, JSON, GraphQL etc.)

  • Solid understanding of core web and browser concepts (e.g., Asynchronous coding

    concepts in JavaScript).

  • Solid knowledge of when and how to make your code scale effectively

  • Solid experience optimizing code and looking for ways to resolve performance issues

  • Preferred experience working with Kubernetes and Istio
