Analyzes and designs solutions for enterprise hardware, software applications and network infrastructure. Sr. Technical Engineers are highly skilled individuals that work closely with network and other IT teams to monitor, diagnose and address complex technical issues related to a wide range of IT issues.
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains Visual Basic (VB) and PowerShell scripts for software automation installations and registry modifications.
Manages vendor relationships to ensure technology implementations and project timelines are met.
Works with support teams and external vendors to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Installs hardware, software configurations, PC moves, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer systems, devices and peripherals.
Installs Windows and other application patches via KACE to fix software glitches, insuring minimal interruption to client business and service.
Works on small to mid-size projects independently and with a team members to ensure project scope of work is being followed and times are met.
Manages Security Monitoring Tools (Packet Shaper, Sniffers, Audit Logs, KACE, Anti-Virus Patch Management Systems)
Ensures all standard hard drives and solid-state drives (SSD) are encrypted via BitLocked
Manages Symantec USB (Universal Serial Bus) policy on Symantec endpoint server (SEP) for whitelisting and blocking mass storage devices.
Creates technical documentation for hardware/ application installations and configurations.
Mentors and train Field Engineers on technical and procedural matters and best practices.
Attends change control meetings and processes requests to execute system upgrades and application installations.
Stays current on industry standards and overall technologies. Provide on-call technical support.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (R)
Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience (P)
A+ Certification (P)
Network + Certification (P)
Three to five years of technical support experience in a Windows environment (R)
Experience with Windows 10 system builds and MS O365 suite. (R)
Experience software package installation via KACE and PowerShell scripting (R)
In-depth Knowledge of enterprise anti-virus and other security monitoring systems (R)
Extensive experience in examining, investigating and solving dynamic problems with ability to think "out-of-the- box" and develop creative solutions (R)
Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision (R)
Strong knowledge of KACE for application deployment, Operating system deployment, PC Patching, and Inventory (R)
Networking experience, including knowledge on Airwave, ClearPass, Aruba networks, TCP/IP, routing and switching (P)
Experience with Epic EMR system (P)
Strong time management skills (R)
Exceptional written and oral communication skills. (R)
