As a Staff Application Engineer, you will work on high priority projects, be technical lead for other engineers and collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, other engineers and engineering teams, UX, and TPMs to build and enhance software and systems that are key to GFiber's growth, success, and customer satisfaction.
**Role Description**
This role requires a Staff Salesforce engineer who is interested in also working layers of a web software stack (front end, back end, APIs, database and/or data pipeline), and can execute with high quality in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. This will be a hands-on technical lead position where you are expected to develop engineering solutions and also help lead junior engineers, review code, be responsible for deliverables, support in staging and production
A successful candidate is self-sufficient and an excellent troubleshooter who takes initiative to identify and resolve bugs and issues. You have a passion for software engineering and some scrum/agile experience. Communication skills are a must, as you will interact frequently and closely with business stakeholders, TPMs, engineers across teams.
Experience developing on, or integrating with Salesforce is needed.
**In this role, you'll:**
+ Hands-on technical lead working on transformational projects, lead junior engineers, write and review code etc.
+ Salesforce engineering experience required, such as Apex, triggers, Lightning Web, SOQL, Vlocity, etc..
+ You will be explicitly working on OrderManagement/Product Catalog/Billing/Integration services in the Salesforce/Vlocity ecosystem
+ Write and review technical documents and participate in code reviews.
+ Write quality code and unit tests, and participate in build and deployment support.
+ Apply agile software techniques, and partner with TPMs to manage software delivery timelines and stakeholder expectations.
+ Partner with a wide variety of engineering and business stakeholders to work through their needs, balancing technical and business priorities to accomplish shared goals; build trusted relationships with peers and stakeholders.
+ Leverage your troubleshooting skills and experience to dive deep to resolve issues and bugs.
**At a minimum we'd like you to have:**
+ B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related engineering field (in lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
+ 12+ years of Salesforce engineering experience, such as Apex, Lightning Web, triggers, SOQL, Vlocity, etc.
+ Experience integrating Salesforce / SFDC with business applications.
+ 8+ years experience designing, building, and troubleshooting web-based software, preferably in Apex.
**It's preferred if you have:**
+ Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
+ Experience integrating with Salesforce and/or Salesforce developer experience
**Additional Information:**
[Colorado only] Minimum salary range between $180,000 - $193,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
