**St. Louis Metals Production Operations** team has an exciting opportunity for a **Shipside Operations Specialist** to join the Metals Production Operations team in **Hazelwood, MO** in the **Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)** organization. This position is fast-paced and dynamic production environment to align the Operations Team with Program Leadership, customer counterparts and cross-functional partners to remove roadblocks and stabilize operations.


**This position will have RAA that includes but is not limited to:**


+ Supporting Operations Leadership Team in the deployment of One BPS & Lean Principles.

+ Development of Oobeya on Program & Maturing the Oobeya process.

+ Program integration activities (Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management, PMM Preparation, Metrics & Reporting)

+ Functional initiative deployment (FOD reduction / Innovation awards / Affordability projects / Kamishibai / etc.).

+ Supports the LSCC and FSCC and SAT follow up.

+ Drives Continuous improvement and problem solving.

+ Provides support to efficiently and effectively resolve production issues.

+ Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company lean initiatives using Lean methodologies.

+ Analyzes and interprets data and provides root cause corrective action and trend data to identify and eliminate high impact and systemic issues.

+ Coordinate and facilitate multi-function group meetings required to resolve issues.

+ Utilize tracking system to document, communicate, and ensure production issues get resolved.

+ Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.

+ Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.

+ Works under general direction.


Security and Export Control Requirements:


+ **This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.**


**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):**


+ **High School Diploma or Equivalent**

+ Experience with Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, and Word

+ 3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data.

+ At least 1 year of experience implementing Lean methodologies and productivity improvements


**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**


+ Bachelors degree or higher


+ Manufacturing Execution Systems Common Image (MESci) experience.

+ 3+ years working in a production environment

+ Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

+ Experience supporting cross-functional teams

+ Experience using Shipside Action Tracker


**Relocation:**


This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.

Bonus amount: US dollars (USD) $1,500
