Job Description
Intel’s Substrate Technology Development is looking for a Quality Assurance manager for it’s next generation factory in Chandler designed for technology development and early ramp of new substrate architectures. The Quality Assurance Manager position resides within the Integration Organization and is a key leadership role responsible for leading the department-wide quality program and business processes related to quality culture, excursion management & prevention methodologies and systems infrastructure (PCS, FMEA, Standard Response Flow etc).
This job involves working broadly with several departments including module engineering, process integration and factory operations. The QA manager is required to be an expert in quality methodologies & industry best practices & must drive the organization towards a quality-first mentality.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring Factory Quality Systems readiness for the new factory (FMEA, Excursion Mgmt, PCS, Factory Audit protocols, Lot Review Disposition etc) for Substrate TD and Ramp.
- Develop analytics to assess quality performance from varied aspects.
- Identify and drive activities and projects to improve site-wide quality mindset and culture. Including delivering relevant training.
- Driving retrospective after-action reviews on recurring quality excursions to ensure robust root cause fix and better excursion detections/preventions.
- Build expertise in Intel- wide Quality management methods, tools and systems.
- Hire and build the team to manage the Quality program for the organization.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a BS degree with 6+ years of experience or MS degree with 4+ years of experience or a PhD degree with 2+ years of experience in a related engineering or physical sciences discipline.
5+ years of experience in the following:
- Lead or manage a Manufacturing Yield-Process, Integration or Quality and Reliability.
- Systems development and deployment.
Preferred qualifications:
2+ years of experience in the following:
- People management.
- Experience in empirical data collection and statistical data analysis, reliability statistics, and design of experiment.
- Semiconductor substrates or assembly test packaging.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
