To direct and coordinate the operation and proper use, allocation and management of assigned Vessels fabrication departments employees, manufacturing equipment and tools, and other resources to ensure that established processes and procedures are followed to safely, expeditiously and efficiently produce a quality product while meeting production and shipment plans.

The duties include all those associated with the Supervisors Lead Person positions, plus the following: Direct and coordinate department work schedules and assignments to meet current and projected Vessels production and shipping requirements. Review and distribute jobs orders to applicable sections. Review drawings and job routings for accuracy. Coordinate material availability, parts orders and distribution, as required. Coordinate movement of materials and work-in-process items through designated stages of production to inspection. Ensure quality work is performed by subordinates. Ensure that production records are maintained and updated.

The desired qualifications include, but may not be limited to, the following: Ability to leverage the strengths of the team to achieve daily objectives. Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP systems. Desire and ability to gain an advanced understanding of the processes within the assigned area of responsibility Ability to supervise a team and maintain a team-oriented environment. Ability to teach, train, assess, counsel and mentor others. Ability to read and understand blueprints. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates Degree in Engineering or Business discipline. BS/BA degree, preferred. 3-5 years in a supervisory role for a manufacturing operation. Experienced using Lean Manufacturing tools or concepts for process improvement and problem solving. Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
