Our Orlando office is seeking a Survey CAD Technician for infrastructure design surveys, construction support surveys, legal Boundary, and environmental projects.
Your Role:
Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Understanding of survey data and methods, the interface between raw data processing platforms and CAD, and refinements within CAD
Familiarity with various units, datums, and conversions
Familiarity with plats, deeds, legal surveys, etc., and proficiency with legal descriptions
Analysis of design plans for production of field staking data
Ability to meet client requirements for CAD format & content
Quality control review of survey deliverables
Preparation of boundary survey layouts, site plans, etc.
Familiarity with GIS concepts & programs
Work with LIDAR (point cloud) data, both adjustment/refinement, and 3D modeling
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both in-person and through remote options (email, phone, text, virtual meeting, etc.)
Ability to progress through tasks efficiently and independently
Ability to absorb training quickly, and pass along skills to other team members
Problem-solving skills, both independently and as team
Willingness to occasionally take on tasks outside primary job description & roles
Punctuality, and willingness to prioritize project/client needs
