Description
SAIC is hiring a Systems Administrator / Technical Help Desk Analyst as part of the Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) Program in O’Fallon, IL.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides 24/7 support to GATES users
Maintains ticket documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly meetings
Provides ad-hoc reports as needed
Monitor/troubleshoot servers for latency and connection issues
Applies GATES patches/upgrades as required
Activates/Deactivates DGATES as needed
Maintains CLE refresh and backup requests
Troubleshoots GATES system issues to determine cause
Implements appropriate repair for GATES systems issues
Accurately updates internal tracking mechanisms to ensure all required systems receive upgrades
Determines if trouble tickets require escalation to Level 3 support in a timely manner
Contacts/collaborates with Level 3 personnel for trouble ticket resolution that requires Level 3 support
Pulls GATES logs at various worldwide GATES sites to support Level 3 troubleshooting
Sends trouble tickets back to Level 1 to close out ticket when complete
REMOTE WORK - Authorized within a 2-hour radius of Scott AFB IL. Must maintain reliable high-speed internet to perform remote work.
SHIFT WORK - 2PM to 10PM or 10PM to 6AM are possible shifts. Day shift 6AM to 2PM untill fully trained. 8 hours expected per day.
Qualifications - External
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and 0 years related experience. Other relevant experience and certifications considered in lieu of education, etc. requirements.
Proven expertise in supporting and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN network administration support under Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016 and RHEL7
Excellent communication skills, adept at speaking in technical or non-technical terms
Solutions-oriented multitasking professional with strong work ethic
Able to follow Information Assurance Guidelines and Confidentiality Agreements to protect company and customer assets

Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
