**What youll achieve**
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of new software technology enabling Dell to address the demands of 5G wireless solutions. You will work within a global development team, actively collaborating with our technical and business leaders as part of an intrapreneurial team building a new business from the ground up. From applied research to advanced engineering, Dells 5G R&D team will design and develop ground-breaking products & solutions. Its a fascinating field of work. You will be involved in assessing the competition, developing technology and products and generating intellectual property. You don't have to be a Telco/5G expert but you will gain the experience along the way.
**You will:**
+ Design & develop 5G Solution Platform & Orchestration Software.
+ Participate in creation and review of design document that will drive the implementation of 5G Solution Platform & Orchestration Software
+ Implement and unit test key features, per implementation plans and design documents
+ Work to identify and drive improvements, integration and test automation
+ Work closely with the verification group to ensure the completeness, quality and performance of the implemented functionality

**Essential Requirements**
+ 2+ years of experience as a System Engineer
+ Intermediate-level experience with Linux Automation and Orchestration (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, etc)
+ Intermediate-level experience with Linux System Administration (RedHat 8, CentOS)
+ Good Linux network understanding
+ Experience and working knowledge of:oKernel network stack (Advanced Routing and Switching knowledge; IPv6 (and dual stack), Bridges, LB, Bonding, Open vSwitch)oHigh speed network applications (eBPF, DPDK, XDP)oHigh performance applications (CPU pinning, NUMA awareness)oScripting skills (Python, Shell)oMicroservices and container architecture proficiency (Docker, Podman, containerd, lxc)
**Desirable Requirements**
+ Experience in product development (R&D) preferred.
