Job Description

Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) team is responsible for the calculation and reporting of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) for FED regulatory reporting. The Finance Data Management Office within BM&A is responsible for providing fit for purpose data required for the Basel RWA calculation and reporting for different products like Derivatives, Wholesale & Retail etc.

The Regulatory Segment Data Office is looking for an Associate level ( 602 ) candidate who will be part of a high performing team of data management professionals focused on delivering innovative data management solutions to Corporate Finance stakeholders. Associate are aligned by product(s) and focused on the delivery of data management capabilities driven by GF&BM projects, Firm-wide Data Management Critical Business Initiatives, and Corporate Finance stakeholder BAU data needs


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Partner with senior stakeholders (i.e., Asset Class Controllers, Product Controllers, and P&A) and Finance and Treasury/CIO RSC leadership team to support the delivery the following data capabilities for a prioritized book of product-aligned work.

  • Data Requirements Drive provisioning of fit-for-purpose data by working with consumers to identify data requirements; enhance data consistency through definition of business terms and alignment of data providers to agree upon business terms; maintain alignment between business terms and data requirements documentation/metadata

  • Data Sourcing Identify authoritative sources of data based upon data requirements for on-boarding to Corporate Finance architecture; support Product Owners in demand prioritization and grooming sessions

  • Regulatory Support Creation of Financial Institution reference data in support of regulatory reporting regimes with accuracy, completeness and validity, incorporating multiple risk factors in Compliance with global regulatory requirements. Manage personal workload and priority items and ensure timely escalation of key risks/issues to management.

  • Data support - Engage with Corporate technology to identify and execute process improvements, provide guidance and support on key process and technology initiatives to the business

  • Data Quality Facilitate resolution and oversight of the book of data quality issues and data sourcing gaps; ensure issues are clearly understood for prioritization and resolution and linkage to all necessary metadata (i.e., adjustments, demand, technology Jira); support roll-out of Data Content Owner strategy,

  • Data Quality Controls Ensure data integrity by identifying and overseeing implementation of data quality controls within Corporate Finance applications and upstream LOB applications.

  • Data Landscape Engage with Corporate Technology to clearly describe data across its lifecycle for a common view and language across Finance and the Firm enabling data lineage from point of consumption back to point of origin

Secondary Responsibilities :

  • Support RSC BM&A leadership team in preparing for Finance forums to communicate status of work, drive framing and rollout of RSC strategy, and advise on overall data health

  • Partner with senior stakeholders (i.e., Asset Class Controllers, Product Controllers, FERCs, and P&A) and Finance CDO leadership team to support the delivery the following data capabilities for a prioritized book of product-aligned work

  • Support Finance CDO leadership team in preparing for Finance forums to communication status of work, drive framing and rollout of CDO strategy, and advise on overall data health

  • Manage and drive regulatory and strategic projectsâ„¢ implementation enabling efficient and rule compliant Basel Risk weighted Assets (RWA) computation and reporting across products.

  • Coordinating with BM&A Production teams, technology, and line of businesses to frame out implementation requirements, defining and tracking milestone delivery, leading prioritization of book of work and validating built solutions.

  • Support efforts on managing both internal and external audit requests during implementation of key regulatory and strategic initiatives

  • Assist in identifying, tracking, and resolving data quality issues through various data analysis efforts; Work towards streamlining and improving processes

  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials and scorecards for various forums across risk, finance, and technology

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of project experience required, with particular focus in the data space highly preferred

  • Proven track record of ongoing coaching, educating a team.

  • Outstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders at one time

  • Subject Matter Expertise in Banking products (e.g., Derivatives, Securities, Wholesale & Consumer Lending, Wholesale & Consumer Deposits, Cash)

  • Strong hands on in MS excel for data analysis, SQL or any database query language

  • Strong understanding of Credit / Rates / Equity Derivatives products

  • Experience in Basel3 regulatory capital rules preferred

  • Experience is People management is preferable

  • Project Management certification(s) is a plus

  • Attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead deliverables across LOBs/Functions and geographies

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; sound judgment

  • Foster and champion High Performance Culture where people are empowered to make decisions that affect their work/environment
