Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Transit Architecture Lead to be based in our New York Metro office.
The Transit Architecture Lead will be responsible for the following items:
Provides architectural technical and management leadership for transit architecture
Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative
Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with senior-level architects and/or designers within the company and with key officials of other organizations and companies, and is skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
At this level, individuals will have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature architectural judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual structure/design problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse activities
Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits
Leads the transit architecture practice and pursuits, collaborating with the AECOM transportation leadership

AECOMs Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.

Minimum Requirements
BA/BS in Architecture plus twelve (12) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
Architecture License is required
Preferred Qualifications
15 years experience as an architect in New York Metro
Has strong relationships with NY Metro transit agencies
Strong communication and leadership skills
Software: Revit, Autocad, MS Excel and Word
