As Citi pivots to sustained growth across all of its business lines (both corporate and consumer), there is a recognition that a key enabler is the ability to better harness data, analytics, and insights, both within individual business units, but also across business lines to create incremental value, both internally and externally. The Data and Analytics team in TTS owns the data and analytics product (all data needed to enable client products, make business decisions, fulfill regulatory/legal needs, key analytics for product decisions and insights, as well as data tools that empower the business users or deliver to client solutions) across all TTS products and functions, and manages the data and analytics vision and roadmap together with business stakeholders, and product-manages the Agile delivery of data, insight, and solution across data scientists and engineering.
Trade Data is a critical area of focus within the business. It is global in scope which would provide a lot of visibility to the senior management within Trade as well as TTS via regular interactions, presentation, and discussion forums.
Citi is seeking a strong business-minded analytical leader to both create and execute against a data agenda that will accelerate business outcomes primarily for the Trade business. This Data Leader will interface with multiple business stakeholders to understand needs/priorities and pave the path for how data & analytics can used to accelerate outcomes, focus data, analytics, engineering resources to deliver against biggest business value, following Agile Data Product Management best practices.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Execute Citis Data and Analytics strategy across all Trade products, ensuring that there is a globally consistent process for acquiring, persisting, and delivering Data
+ Build internal descriptive and predictive client analytics on product activity based on the single source of truth - for sales, service, operations, and product management
+ Act as product owner / manager for Trade data and analytics use cases
+ Work with Trade product stakeholders and other business areas to capture requirements for data and use cases
+ Design and deploy datasets that can be leveraged as the single source of truth for all reporting, analytics, and client-service as well as monetization
+ Conceive value-adding insight, predictions, and recommendations to drive growth, optimize profit and returns
+ Develop user/persona focused delivery of insights, that drives usage and impact
+ Work with data scientists and engineers to deliver in value- and client- focused Agile SCRUM and Data SCRUM processes
+ Understand the drivers of business results and how data/analytics can accelerate outcomes; drive theory to execution with business partners to directly impact results
+ Unlock new value through data sharing / data exchanges with external clients
+ Continually, succinctly, and clearly communicate progress and results against the data/analytics agenda within the team and with peers
+ Investigate and leverage - Continually bring the outside in to learn and deploy best practices from other organizations or industry forums
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Math, Operations Research, engineering or science or other related fields; Master's is a plus
+ At least five to ten years of experience in related fields
+ Experience working as a product manager or product owner, leading Agile teams for data/analytics outcomes
+ Previous experience working with large volumes of data and strong understanding of data analytics - traditional business analytics and modern data science techniques
+ Familiarity with Data management and modeling concepts, canonical Data models
+ Experience in leading the designing, developing, or managing Data solutions involving not just BI tools, but Data science concepts.
+ Familiarity with merchant and transaction banking and Trade finance and services, or at least in financial services
+ Can understand business needs and translate into analytical execution, including the supervision and review of the analysis, with a critical eye
+ Can innovate new use cases and evaluate business impact
+ Can interface with technology to create user stories plan and groom Agile sprints
