Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Urban Planner/ Urban Designer for employment in the Philadelphia, PA office. The candidate will work collaboratively with planning and communications staff to support a variety of planning projects, including transportation planning, community outreach, and urban design.
Responsibilities could include:
Preparation of display boards, planning documents or renderings
Support for in-person or virtual public outreach, including venue selection, minutes, and preparation of public-facing communications
3-D modeling and visualization using a variety of software packages, including InDesign, SketchUp, Lumion, and AutoCAD
Preparation of illustrative mapping and graphics
Research for planning reports and documents
Interaction with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within AECOM
Working effectively in team situations and establishing strong relationships with other discipline teams
Under direct supervision, conducting field evaluations and assessments
This position requires the flexibility to serve as a cross-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of AECOM.

Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in transportation/urban planning, geography, environmental sciences, public policy, or related field.
2+ years of experience in transportation, urban, or community planning, or urban design
Proficiency with graphics/visualization platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with stakeholders for project outreach activities
Ability to work on assignments with minimal supervision
Experience with technical writing and/or public-facing communications
Knowledge of ArcGIS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
