Summary of Job:
This is an entry level position working with experienced Coordinators, utilizing BIM fabrication modelling software, in the creation, coordination and documentation of Building Information Models (BIMs) for use in fabrication and installation of Plumbing, Mechanical and HVAC systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)
Work with Coordinators on the creation of detailed shop drawings for the purposes of fabrication and installation of associated trades
Annotation of shop drawings
Creation and annotation of hanger drawings
Creation and annotation of sleeve drawings
Assist Coordinators with modelling of trade specific elements for the purposes of spatial coordination
Assist Detailers, when required, to complete drawings and models as required to meet schedules
Annotation of spools maps
Annotation of spool drawings
Creation of material bill of materials
Creation of pipe cut lists
Creation of pipe identification labels
Work with other team members to complete drawings and models as required to meet schedules
Maintain training and continued education for incumbent and team to continually improve accuracy and productivity
Provide Input to management regarding both hardware and software requirements to perform duties
Education and Experience:
Knowledge of mechanical or plumbing systems.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks or any other BIM software is a plus
A working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and Outlook and ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and software
