VMware vRA/vRO Developer - Core Technology Infrastructure

**Job Description:**
The Bank of America Cloud hosting team is seeking to fill a software engineering position focused on VMware SDDC technologies to automate every aspect of our environment. The teams goal is to develop a robust CI/CD pipeline to certify, support and maintain the underlying infrastructure of the firms applications. From initial version certification thru net new builds to upgrading the running production environment thru operational support automation, we are moving to manage the environment as Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Coding and workflow development leveraging Python / Ansible / Javascript/ PowerCLI or similar languages is foundational and must be complimented with a solid understanding of the VMware infrastructure stack. In addition, a willingness to work with other teams to debug and resolve production issues that arise from their code is integral to the success of our team. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to add. **Must have skills:**
+ Must have few to several years of extensive hands on experience in developing VMware vRealize Orchestration (vRO) workflows, should be able demonstrate on VMware HOL Labs.
+ Must have worked on vRA features including but not limited to Blueprints, XaaS, Event broker subscriptions, Storage Profiles, Network Profiles, custom properties, Actions etc
+ Must know the difference between vRA 7.5 and vRA 8.X versions, experience on vRA vRO 8.X is preferred.
+ Strongscripting/programmingskills in one or more languages in the order of preference: JavaScript, PowerShell, Python and Ansible
+ Proven experience in Cloud Automation using vRA and vRO workflows
+ Strong System wide knowledge of vRealize Automation preferably in 8.x
+ Should be able to work on vRA 8.X Cloud Templates, update Ansible scripts in vRA Cloud templates, create ABX customizations, trigger vRO workflows.
+ Experience with REST API based application integration with vRO and or Ansible or Python
+ Expertise in vRA vRO 7.5 to create, update and mange Blueprints, XaaS, complex EBS workflows, component profiles, reservations, compute clusters.
+ Good understanding of vRA vRO 8.x Cloud Templates, ABX, Cloud Zones, Storage Profiles, Network Profiles, Tags
+ Working experience with VMware VCenter
+ Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and other Network concepts
+ Able to work on JSON, XML, CSV and YAML formats.
+ At least some acquaintance on VMware VSAN and other storage protocols.
+ Able to code review, test in Dev, pre-prod and prod environments.
+ Must be able to work in Agile environment, should be able to deliver sprint after sprint, use JIRA, confluence, document as needed.
+ Able to work independently with little direction
**Good to have:**
+ Managing and or automating VMware Environment (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi hosts, DVSwitches, Storage) using PowerShell scripts or any other scripting language.
+ vCenter and ESXi administration skills
+ Experience with NSX-T administration and API level programming using vRO or Ansible
+ Admin level experience in Windows and or RHEL Linux.
+ Knowledge of vROPs, vRLI, Network Routing and Switching using NSX-T, and other VMware components
+ Working Knowledge on VMware Cloud Foundations (VCF), SDDC manager
+ Experience in using Bit Bucket, Ansible Tower, GIT, or any other Software versioning and code execution platforms.
+ Bachelors Degree in computer science with 4-5 years of experience
+ Experience in VMware VIDM, vRSLCM, Kubernetes
+ Experience with VMware vRealize Code stream
+ Experience in using Ansible Tower
+ Certification on VMware vRA 8.X is a big plus.
+ Knowledge on Storage concepts, ex: VSAN, iSCSI, etc
