At GDIT, people are ourdifferentiator.Weare seekinga talented and motivated Web App Developer to support the Army National Guard's (ARNG's) National Capital Region Director of Information Management (NCR DOIM). The NCR DOIM is responsible for the operation, maintenance, modernization, expansion, and further evolution of the IT services and infrastructure that support over 3,000 end users at the ARNG headquarters in Arlington, VA as well as other locations in the National Capital Region (NCR). This includes supporting the ARNG NCR Campus Area Network (CAN), Local Area Network (LAN), server and storage infrastructure, end user devices to include virtual desktop infrastructure, and audio/visual equipment. Major support requirements include network administration, service desk, network and IT engineering, audio and video services to include telephony, telecommunications management, asset management, equipment maintenance and disposition, cybersecurity, and Continuity of Operations (COOP).
To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter, completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with users and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications. You will need to explain technical intricacies to end users in a way that is easily understood. You will need to maintain a high-level customer service focus, exhibiting expertise, courtesy, timeliness, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
The NCR DOIM uses ITIL best practices as a framework for a mature IT Service Management model.As a Web App Developer on the NCR DOIM team, responsibilities will include website
creation, maintenance, and support. The Web Application Developer has knowledge of Internet protocols, practices, regulations, and security issues. In addition, web support will also be needed for upcoming CCRI and STIG requirements for IIS and other web applications. The candidate must have experience with administration of Microsoft Windows 2008 / 2012 / 2016
servers in a DoD environment.Provide timely task update status to of all assigned tasks to the project manager and members of the leadership team.
Experienced candidates should be proficient in the following:
Prior CCRI experience; STIGing IIS and Windows application servers
Support MS Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 domain and DHCP, DNS, and IIS
Recommend and install upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment
Minimum 8 years' experience in .NET Framework
Perform Server installation/rebuild, configuration and administration
Minimum 7 years' experience in C#/C++
Experience developing interactive web applications
5 years' experience in front end web design and development (JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, AJAX, CSS, Node.js, HTML5)
Solid experience and skills designing and implementing object-oriented software solutions with an emphasis on industry best practices and design patterns C# (WCF, Web Services, MVC), MSSQL/JavaScript.

Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
Solid expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's.
Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)
Ability to organize and plan work independently or collaboratively.
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Excellent written, verbal, andpresentationcommunicationskills, Outstanding customer service, team building, and consensus building skill are a must.
Analytically inclined with attention to detail and accuracy and consistent follow-through to assure problems are resolved with the ability to respond to last minute requests.

Participate in special projects as required
Use ticketing system to:
Proactively check help desk queue for new emails and create and assign Remedy tickets for those emails.
Ensure that tickets are actively being worked on and updated, and that no tickets are unassigned
Escalate tickets as needed.
Ensure all tickets worked include the problem, the solution, the end user, initiation and completion time, and end user satisfaction.
The resolution shall be in sufficient detail to allow another administrator, not familiar with the problem, sufficient information to resolve the same or similar problem without extensively researching the issue again.
Notify the team lead of all requests for support that require additional resources which result in a delay of resolution
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
Able to work under time constraints
Maintain and upgrade certifications
Willing to perform other duties as assigned
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a minimum of a DoD Secret clearance on hire and confirmed.
CertificationRequirements:
Active/Current CompTIA Security+ ce certification
Computing environment certification (e.g., SQL certification please confirm during interview)
If you start only with a Security+ ce, continued employment will be contingent on receiving the additional SQL/Windows certification within 3 months after your start date.
