Job Description



HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Web Engineer to work out of their client's Merrifield, VA office in support of the USPS Engineering Systems Software Development Life Cycle Process Management Project.





Essential Job Responsibilities




+ Performs web management, server administration, database management, application management and development, and additional support services.


+ Reviews specifications and provides time estimates on the development of projects and features.


+ Prioritizes projects and deliverables.


+ Must be a self-starter. Interfaces with multiple projects on an ongoing basis.


+ Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.


+ Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


+ Responsible for effectively collaborating across many stakeholders in an integrated environment and interfacing with multiple projects on an ongoing basis.


+ May mentor junior staff.






Minimum Qualifications




+ Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area.


+ Experience in a related field using commonly used concepts, practices, languages and procedures within Web development including SQL, HTML, CGI, JAVA/J2EE, Object Oriented Programming, IIS, WebSphere, ColdFusion, Oracle, JavaScript, VBScript, SBM ModScript


+ Experience maintaining and upgrading server software


+ Experience in documenting software changes and improvements
