Disney Streaming Services Web team is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Web Commerce and Identity Platform team. We are focused on building tools to increase efficiencies for engineers, architecting and maintaining a unified platform shared between hulu.com and disneyplus.com and promoting a culture of engineering excellence.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO:**


+ Develop software & infrastructure that powers the disneyplus.com, starplus.com and hulu.com commerce experience including signup, account and subscription management.

+ Contribute to code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and technical investigations.

+ Implement reusable architecture and patterns that set the direction for web development across Disney Streaming.

+ Collaborate with development teams to understand their pain points and requirements.

+ Provide documentation that empowers developers to use shared toolsets/code.

+ Review and test other developers' code.

+ Identify and evangelize industry best practices.


**WHAT TO BRING:**


+ At least 2 years professional experience developing large, well-tested Typescript applications

+ Solid understanding of the browser and how it works and Server Side Rendering web technologies like Next.js

+ Familiarity with concepts like performance measuring, observability, and testing

+ Excellent front-end debugging skills

+ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

+ BS degree in computer science or equivalent work experience


**NICE-TO-HAVES:**


+ Experience shipping a production React/Next.js application

+ Experience developing internal apps or libraries

+ Experience building geographically distributed, highly available web applications.

+ Experience working on projects that span multiple teams

+ Experience with concepts around internationalization and localization

+ Experience and understanding around accessibility on the Web


_The pay range for this position in Colorado is $_ _97,498_ _to $_ _130,790_ _per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered._
