The Workforce Engagement API Developer (The Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor) role will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and 2nd level support of Cigna's Workforce Engagement Applications which consists of Verint's Suite of products (WFM, Recording, Operations Manager, AQM, DPA, etc..). The API Developer is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, implementing, and full lifecycle management of custom API solutions, API platform management, and solutions integration for the organization. This position is also responsible for taking a leadership role when developing and supporting solution designs and API integrations.
Responsibilities
Engineering of Verint's Suite of Products (WFM, Recording, Transcription, DPA, Quality, etc.).
Building API integrations into the Verint Database.
Building reporting dashboards for both IT & Business related needs.
Understanding of Cisco UCCE and Genesys.
Utilization of non-production WFE environments for API builds.
Help develop and deploy automation tools to support the operation and uptime of Cigna's contact center.
Utilization of Verint's Developer portal to test/deploy new integrations into SQL.
Test application patches and document rollout procedures.
Support the long-term enterprise strategy for the contact center WFE platform.
Provide technical leadership for contact center WFE initiatives.
Create, build, and maintain data pipelines from disparate sources that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
Create, maintain, and reuse existing ETL processes, employing a variety of data integration and data preparation tools.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing pipelines for greater scalability, etc.
Work with stakeholders including Product, Data, and Business teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data needs.
Create datasets for operational reports, key performance indicators/metrics, or other insights into current organizational activities.
Create datasets for analytics and data science to provide the ability to uncover the answers to major questions that help organizations make objective decisions and/or gain a competitive edge.
Write, debug and implement moderately complex queries involving multiple tables or databases across platform(s).
Work with product owners to define functional and non-functional requirements.
Design data models and business logic to meet specified requirements.
Produce documentation for software and systems.
Assist in building a team of software developers.
Qualifications
High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of Fast API experience (Python).
3+ years of Java experience.
3+ years of SQL experience.
3+ years of software development experience.
3+ years of Contact Center Engineering experience.
Proficient in designing API specs using RAML, Swagger, OpenAPI, or other API modeling languages.
Developer Experience preferred.
Expertise with object-oriented programming languages.
Expertise with relational databases.
Proven ability to design, build, and document APIs.
Strong technical communication skills.
Results-focused, collaborative, and pragmatic.
Familiarity / Expertise with FastAPI framework.
Familiarity with Ops platforms tools and processes (AWS, CircleCI, etc.).
Data pipeline/data engineering experience.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $111,900 - $186,500, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
