**Job Description:**
**Enterprise Overview:**
Conducts routine to complex research and investigations in diversified operations to support compliance operations directed by internal bank policies and required adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements which can involve high $ penalties and fines for non-compliance. Executes against regulatory, BSA/anti-money laundering, and economic sanctions compliance practices relevant to the specialists specific area of responsibility with sufficient expertise and or experience to require some direction, but little day-to-day guidance from the specialist's manager. May identify significant issues and control weaknesses and make recommendations to line management to minimize exposure or loss. May interpret and analyze information gathered from numerous databases and third-party sources and identify "red flags" that prompt further inquiry. Proactively recommend process improvements, formulate, and recommend action response to mitigate risk and resolve complex inquires and escalations. May provide quality assurance review and testing on operating key controls. Provides work direction, guidance, and expertise to less experienced associates and provides training to associates on new and complex initiatives. Assists manager in developing a positive and trusting relationship with key business leaders and their teams. May participate in or lead special projects that represent significant risk exposure and/or are highly visible. Knowledge acquired through increasingly responsible operations analysis work. Clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Ability to communicate across and up the organization. Must be able to work independently and is not afraid to make a decision and act on it. Provides guidance to associates within own unit regarding procedural, technical and/or operational changes. Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred. Individual typically has 3-5 years of experience in compliance operations with regulatory practices.
**LOB Description:**
This position will report directly to the Sanctions CoE Executive. Conducts routine analysis, research, and investigations on CoE Sanctions Process to ensure compliance with OFAC regulations. Must ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements which can involve high $ penalties and fines for non-compliance. May interpret and analyze information gathered from numerous applications and third-party sources and identify red flags that prompt further inquiry. Responsible as lead for Sanctions COE in Audits/Exams which include OCC.
**Required skills:**
3-5 years of experience in compliance operations-Risk, Audit
Sense of urgency; able to meet required deadlines
Prior research/analytical skills, with attention to Risk
Personal management skills The ability to plan and manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments
**Desired skills:**
Prior experience in Audit.
Interpersonal Skills - Employers usually note whether an employee can relate to co-workers and build relationships with others in the organization
