About the Team


The Design System & Standards team is a small, multidisciplinary team comprised of designers, developers, and analysts. We are responsible for design and development fidelity of all components being introduced to our new design system, in the early phases of adoption across att.com applications. We are passionate about user experience and design execution, striving to establish a system which enables a pleasing experience to all AT&T customers. We are a highly agile group, using Agile and Kanban processes for the various efforts were leading.


About the Job


AT&T Strategic Platform UI Engineering team is looking for a Senior UI Software Developer who is passionate about the Web and Web Platform Technology and concerns and has a solid grasp on industry mainstream thinking around concepts like UI application frameworks, Design Systems, SPA architecture and UI modular component development thinking. As a Senior UI Software Developer in our UI Engineering org you will be responsible for building and maintaining UI platform concerns like common utility libraries and component libraries. You will also be involved in evaluating new open source and OTS solutions for implementation and adoption of standard UI platform capabilities supporting our product UI delivery teams. You must possess strong UI technical and UI architecture background to ensure you are designing modular & scalable web components, you must have experience working in large cross-organizational software development projects and have a well-rounded technical background in current web and micro frontend technologies. Must possess strong ability to communicate and stakeholder with peers working in the product deliver team around core UI strategies, standards and concepts.


We are looking for a senior applicaitons developer to complement out existing team so that we will be better able to meet our ambitious goals of expanding the digital design system, component library, and reference materials. This work will consist of developing new UI components, developing enhancements to our educational resource site, and participating in governance and strategy activities to ensure overall system quality and alignment.


Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View


Work with product leads to ensure alignment/prioritization of tasks - 5%


Work with dev and design leads to ensure strategic alignment - 15%


Work on prioritized development efforts - 70%


Administrative needs - 10%


Qualifications


4+ years Industry experience working in the UI/UX area of expertise with a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.


4+ years of experience building web applications using HTML5/CSS3/Javascript technologies


2+ years of experience working with Reactjs


2+ years of experience working with relevant/related front end tools such as Webpack, Yarn, Jest, Gulp
