**5G NR Radio Principal Software Developer**

**What youll achieve**
As a Radio Software Principal Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have significant work experience in 5G wireless development, 4G R&D, mobile systems, and 3GPP as well as a strong background in Software and Algorithms related to Remote Radio Units.You will work with different 5G R&D Agile SW component teams to design and implement Radio unit software. Your contributions will drive product architecture and implementation in support of building something from the ground up, all while working with colleagues across the business to ensure Dell products always lead the way.
**You will:**
+ Work with team management and other development groups to develop an implementation plan and design for the 5G NR radio software
+ Participate in defining and architect solutions allowing for scalability of RU layer 1 and Radio solutions for various RAN deployments
+ Capture agreements in a design and test document that will drive the implementation of the Radio SW
+ Hold design reviews to get closure in order to finalize the RU design document & RU design and test documents.
+ Design and Implement functional areas (base, driver, services and OAM) of the RU per the implementation plan.
+ Work closely with the verification group to ensure the completeness, quality and performance of the implemented RU functionality

**Essential Requirements**
+ Advanced knowledge in 4G/5G Radio subsystems architecture
+ Working knowledge with 4G/5G RF characteristics, radio HW components, 3GPP specifications in RAN
+ 8+ years of experience using C, C++11 and Python 3.x
+ eCPRI, PTP or CUS-Plane protocol experience
**Desirable Requirements**
+ Knowledge in MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE)
+ Knowledge and working experience in Open Fronthaul interface
+ Familiarity with Yocto or similar Linux based operating systems, BSP or Linux driver development experience
