Position Summary
Role and Responsibilities
1. Design, and develop Cloud-native ORAN compliant vRAN implementation for beyond 5G and 6G related systems for FR2, FR3
2. Development of high PHY based on ORAN 7-2x split in the cloud environment using programmable FPGA or GPU to be integrated with vRAN to accelerate the throughput.
3. Implement the eCPRI interfaces to communicate with the low phy.
4. Involve in technical decision making by closely working with the L2 data-plane protocol team and Embedded System SW team
5. Contribute to the O-RAN community to support higher data rates based on the experimentation.
6. Deploy the containerized solution using dockers and Kubernetes
Skills and Qualifications
Skills and Qualification:
1. 5+ years of experience in the development of Phy layer for LTE, NR
2. 2+ years of experience in the vCU or vDU or VRAN development
3. A very good understanding of the distributed systems and parallel computing on the x86 platform
4. Experience with multi-core and efficient parallel programming
5. Experience with Flexran SDK or one API MKL on the latest Xeon platforms (or with HW accelerators (ACC-100)).
6. Experience with Nvidia's aerial SDK on a100 (or v100) platforms with CUDA programming. or have experienced low-level coding on Nvidia's GPU
7. Experience with DPDK, userspace drivers, and fast path solutions.
Advantageous to have:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Dockers
- Hands-on AVX instructions and optimizations on the assembly level
