Mayo Clinic Press is a full-service, world-class publisher featuring authors and experts from around the world weighing in on a broad scope of health subjects including thought leadership, mental health, history, biography, the frontiers of medicine and more. Mayo Clinic Press provides reliable health information designed to empower individuals to take an active role in their health and wellbeing, including printed books and articles, subscriptions, ebooks, audio books, podcasts, videos and other digital content for adults, kids and young adults.
The primary function of digital ad operations is to fulfill the order of sale purchased directly by or on behalf of an advertiser. Therefore ad operations is directly responsible for revenue generation. The Ad Operations Specialist is responsible for the preparation, implementation, activation and management of digital media campaigns that run on MayoClinic.org, and other sites as assigned, to support Mayos internal and external advertising businesses.
This includes implementing ad tags through an ad server so that they appear on the site and run at the appropriate priority and impression volume. This position works closely with Product Managers to support execution of short and long term product plans to meet business plan objectives. This position is essential in the day-to-day running of the advertising business. The Ad Operations Specialist is expected to be resourceful, demonstrate the initiative to participate in advanced ad projects, and have a high technical aptitude.

Qualifications
A BA or BS degree required minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
Additional qualifications
Successful candidates have previous experience in ad operations with a solid understanding of ad serving and campaign management. The candidate has worked in an ad server platform, trafficking ads and creative problem-solving, troubleshooting technical issues, and used analytical skills to manage challenging ad delivery issues.
This position requires an individual who has experience tracking delivery and managing 3rd party tags and discrepancies. Must have the ability to debug creatives, 3rd party tags or any related campaign issues and an understanding and/or experience working with rich media, mobile, video, standard display and programmatic (example, Google AdSense and others) ads.Prior experience working in digital agencies or media buying preferred.
This position also requires someone who works well in a team-based, consensus-style environment. Self-motivated, but also can work well in a team. Exceptional attention to detail, efficient and highly productive, strong organizational skills with experience meeting strict deadlines with an ability to multitask organize and prioritize effectively between multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Successful relationship management skills involving multidisciplinary teams.
Must be comfortable with ambiguity. Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences. The ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is essential. Expert in third-party ad server use, from the operations perspectives. Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Web development experience with strong HTML/JavaScript skills or understanding a plus.
