The Role:
AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) is seeking a student for an internship position to work on Research & Development of advanced rendering software techniques. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of innovators and shape the future of technology.
The Person:
Join our advanced research & development engineering team to be part of an outstanding skilled team working with groundbreaking rendering techniques and algorithms, developing the technologies of tomorrow.
Possible Responsibilities:
Research, experiment ideas, and develop new algorithms on advanced rendering research topics like global illumination, denoising, upscaling and next technologies maximizing AMD Ray Tracing and machine learning hardware.
Develop new software, tools, SDKs (Software Development Kits) or APIs (Application Program Interfaces).
Influence future AMD graphics hardware.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in developing and implementing rendering algorithms
Proven experience in solving problems that require study, analysis and application of different algorithms.
Strong math background
Experience working on graphics, Ray tracing using GPU or Machine learning on GPU, Compute and Graphics APIs like Direct3D 12, Vulkan, OpenCL, CUDA, HIP, etc.
Experience working on global illumination algorithms, path tracing, bidirectional path tracing, photon mapping, etc.
Ability to program in low level languages (x86 ASM, SSE, ISA)
Good programming skills in C++
English for communication
