Fall 2022 Server Power and Performance Software Co-Op/Intern Engineer

THE ROLE:

The AMD Server Power and Performance Team is seeking a co-op engineerto assist withdeveloping state of the art event-driven, graph-processing software systems and automation tools required to measure and optimize performance of server products. The primary goal is developing state of the art Reports in PowerBI that measure, analyze and help the Server Processor team optimize performance of EPYC server products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data modeling in Hive and JSON

  1. Designing reports in PowerBI using the PowerBI Desktop authoring tool

  2. Developing DAX components for PowerBI

  3. Analyzing time-series data

  4. Writing queries in SQL, HQL (Hive Query Language)

  5. Enable Hadoop/Hive, Jupyter notebook and PowerBI-based analytics

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Software Engineering or similar

• Eager to learn and improvise to solve problems.

• Experience with PowerBI (DAX, Relations, Data Slicer)

• Git version control, Gitlab build system and full SDLC experience

• Python or equivalent programming experience
