What You'll Do
The AppDynamics Security Engineering team is responsible for our foundational security capabilities. At a high level this means assessing and then implementing and/or tuning the processes and tools supporting Cloud and Network Security (AWS and some Azure) and IT Security.
Who You'll Work With
You will partner and work cross-functionally with peers across Infosec plus our Product and Engineering organizations. This includes, but is not limited to, teams such as - Product Reliability Engineering (PRE), Services Reliability Engineering (SRE), SaaS Operations (SaaS Ops), Build and Release Engineering (BARE), and IT. This also includes peer all groups within Information Security, with particular emphasis on Application Security and Security Architecture.
Who You Are
This key member within the AppD Security Engineering team will help ensure AppD SaaS infrastructure is secure.
Core Responsibilities
Support security needs of India-based development teams
Work on improving or implementing services to assist with secrets management, threat hunting,
Suggest or develop and implement Security Control Policies and other technical controls to encourage good security practices
Ensure we are collecting relevant logs and assisting our security incident response team with use cases and tools for detecting and responding to security incidents
Work on authentication, authorization and other Identity Management-related services and integrations (LDAP, Okta, SailPoint, AWS IDM)
Support Cloud Security services such as LDAP, Splunk, hardened Operating System images, SSL certificates
Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience with AWS services is required
Pursue Cloud infrastructure hardening
Fundamental understanding of good security practices
Operational mindset This is a team of doers working in primary production environments
Practical experience with Chef and Terraform or other similar technologies
Good to Have
Kubernetes experience, especially Kubernetes security experience, is a huge plus.
Experience with other public cloud environments and technologies, such as Azure and GCP
Experience and knowledge of how to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
Industry-related certifications
Python scripting
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or relevant work experience
