The ALL Family of Companies, located in Independence, is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to assist with end-to-end development, maintenance and support of internal applications, customizations of commercial third party products, and management and maintenance of the underlying data. This is a hybrid role working from home Tuesday and Thursday with on premises work Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is an exempt, full-time position with comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct data analysis, transformation, and repair.
Develop and enhance reports.
Code, test, debug, and document internally developed applications and utilities.
Code, test, debug, and document customizations of third party applications.
Perform data conversions between applications.
Write specifications for enhancement requests for internal development and for submission to vendors.
Troubleshoot application and system errors to determine root cause and resolution.
Provide level 2 support to end users.
Experience with two-tier and three-tier database-drive application development.
Experience developing applications from scratch and enhancing existing projects.
Desire to understand the root cause when troubleshooting problems.
Ability to learn new languages and techniques, integrating them with established programming paradigms.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Proficiency with Microsoft Transact-SQL and Visual C# languages.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under general direction.
Fine attention to detail.
Well-developed technical communication skills, as well as strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of the following technologies; Source control systems such as Subversion, NuGet Package Manager, SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, ODBC and ADO Data Access Technologies, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Registry, ASP.NET, TCP/IP Networking.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to operate office equipment and technology.
