An established acute care hospital located in upstate New York is currently searching for an experienced ASCP Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This facility boasts 160 licensed beds and combines a team of specialized Physicians, Surgeons, Technical, and Support staff to provide a number of world-class medical and surgical services. This facility provides cancer care, cardiology and vascular services, emergency and critical care, perioperative services, hospice and home health, maternity care, behavioral health, primary care, skilled nursing and rehabilitative services, and much more.
The ASCP Medical Laboratory Technologist will join an efficient laboratory service line that provides testing in all major clinical laboratory areas, including chemistry and special chemistry, immunology, microbiology, pathology, urinalysis, hematology, coagulation, and blood banking. The ASCP Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform routine and specialized laboratory analysis, provide guidance and support to other technical staff, interpret results, and interact with varying patient populations from newborn to geriatric. Analysis may involve reagent preparation, calibration, and verification of laboratory instruments and procedures.
Requirements Include:
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology
Current and valid NYS SED certification
Licensed as a Medical Technologist through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
