ABC News Radio is seeking a highly motivated, enterprising and innovative Associate Producer to join our team. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and a desire to react to breaking news.


**Responsibilities**


You would join a dynamic, cooperative team that works together to bring important news and impactful stories to audiences in an intelligent way. Responsible for contributing to all editorial meetings with creative story ideas, producing live radio coverage of breaking news, producing or contributing to long-form programming and shows, managing audio for distribution to broadcast and digital partners, writing news and lifestyle stories for digital broadcast and online distribution, and creating original social media content.


**Basic Qualifications**


+ Entry-level radio/audio experience

+ Background in journalism and keen interest in current events, history and pop culture

+ Proficiency in audio editing and sound mixing

+ Sharp attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure

+ Social media experience

+ Excellent communication skills, written and oral.


**Preferred Qualifications**


+ Prior experience working in a dynamic broadcast or digital company preferred.

+ Excellent skills in audio editing software.


**Required Education**


+ BA or equivalent.
