**Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking an International Business Development Manager 3 to support our Autonomous and Tactical Air Systems (ATAS) business unit headquartered in McLean, VA, with locations around the world. The location for this position will be onsite in Mclean, VA.**

**Responsibilities**

**In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for all international business development activities across the business unit, with a primary focus on international F-35 sustainment growth. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with demonstrated experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) related to the F-35. Knowledge of, or experience in Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and other platforms is also desired. Must have a strong understanding of the complex stakeholder community across the F-35 program and the unique challenges faced in developing new business in this arena. The proven ability to work with international customers to understand their requirements and develop a compelling value proposition to address those requirements will be critical. Additionally, close collaboration will be required with all levels of NG organizational leadership, technology, business management, contracts, global supply chain, human resources and other functional organizations in order to successfully execute the business development process. Must have proven, strong team leadership skills and writing abilities.**

**Specific responsibilities include:**

+ **Grows the pipeline through opportunity identification, assessment and maturation aligned with business unit strategic objectives.**
+ **Ensures pipeline sufficiency to achieve annual and long-range growth objectives.**
+ **Translates business unit strategic plans into operating results.**
+ **Develops and manages customer engagement plans aligned to appropriate leadership levels within the organization.**
+ **Provides decision support to leadership with strong business cases for pursuing new growth opportunities.**
+ **Develops and manages internal budgets required to execute new business growth activities.**
+ **Ensures compliance with the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process to ensure the development of quality products and successful business outcomes.**
+ **Oversees the development of sound win strategies for targets within the business development portfolio**
+ **Collaborates with capture managers to identify resources to close on capture and proposal requirements through proposal delivery**
+ **Supports the transition of proposal awards to successful program execution.**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ **Bachelors degree and/or 15 years combined government and/or industry experience with relevant acquisition, strategy, business development and/or capture background**
+ **Proven and verifiable experience with F-35 FMS programs across multiple countries**
+ **Ability to build and lead teams with a vision for success and capable of delegating responsibilities to the appropriate team members**
+ **Proven presentation skills, organizational and time management skills, and a strong sales/marketing presence**
+ **Ability to clearly present ideas to senior management, line management, and customers**
+ **Customer intimacy with USAF, U.S. Navy, and other US government organizations including F-35 JPO, DSCA, SAF/IA, and NIPO.**
+ **Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.**
+ **Must be able to meet Company requirements and work in a fast paced and challenging environment**
+ **U.S. citizenship required**
+ **Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance**
+ **Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 50% of the time)**

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ **MBA degree**
+ **Working knowledge of the competitive market place for fixed and rotary wing systems**
+ **Proven ability to work across organizational structures within either a Tier 1 aerospace and defense company or the US DoD at the Department or Joint level**
+ **International business development and capture experience**

Salary Range: $141,300.00 - $211,900.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
