The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
**Responsibilities:**
Each developer is involved in the complete project lifecycle from requirements gathering, task estimation and implementation
Closely work with FX Options desk in understanding the requirements and translating into simple and efficient design
Enhance the existing Product suite by adding new Products as requested by Business
Design Develop and Test new features in the Trading applications
Improve the stability and performance of existing applications
3rd line support of the production system (dedicated 24h support teams handle 1st / 2nd line).
**Qualifications:**
**Essential:**
The successful candidate will:
+ At least have 5 years of in-depth commercial C# or Java development experience with interest to work on C# as the primary language.
+ At least 2 years of experience in writing and supporting high performing applications with expertise in Multithreading, Async communication, Reactive Extensions etc.
+ Experience developing and supporting mission critical applications.
+ Experience in Middleware technologies like EMS, Solace, Kafka etc.
+ Strong Object Oriented programming skills
**Desirable:**
+ Knowledge of FX derivatives is a plus with an appreciation of product structure and lifecycle.
+ Experience working on a mature development in a large collaborative environment.
