The Business Development Director, Advisor Talent Acquisition will drive the talent acquisition growth objectives for a specific territory of Prudential Advisors. This role will lead an elite team of Business Development Managers who are focused on attracting experienced financial advisors with successful practices and ultimately drive revenue for Prudential Advisors. S/he will also collaborate with business partners and lead strategic talent acquisition initiatives that will help us target, attract, and win diverse talent aligned to the strategic objectives of the organization. The Director will be a key member of the territory leadership team and will collaborate with the Territorial VP to develop and execute the strategy to attract the talent needed to achieve the territorys goals for both inexperienced and experienced advisor recruiting.
The position will build strong relationships with firm Managing Directors and gain a deep understanding of their respective markets and talent needs for both inexperienced and experienced advisors. They will partner with firms to identify opportunities and develop strategies to ensure that they are recruiting to diverse market opportunities, including veterans, women, and people of color
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of elite business development professionals to deliver on the territorys experienced advisor recruiting goals and related revenue targets.
Identify, onboard and coach team members elevating their ability to recruit successful experienced advisors and teams.
Identify and lead strategic initiatives to drive Prudential Advisors recruiting, diversity and inclusion strategies.
Collaborate with business partners to identify trends and best practices to ensure successful and consistent implementation at the territory level.
Regularly assess the recruiting and selection processes and diversity initiatives within each firm leveraging data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
Partner with firm leaders and business development professionals to develop and execute plans to improve our inexperience and experienced advisor recruiting results.
Partner with Territorial Vice President to develop the recruiting plan and execute to achieve goals in the Territory for both inexperienced and experienced advisor recruiting results.
Serve as an executive member of the Territory Leadership Team, contributing to the annual business planning process to drive territory staffing, revenue, and headcount growth objectives.
Monitor and analyze territory recruiting and diversity results, develop and implement action plans to address areas of underperformance and provide analysis to the Territory Vice President.
Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities to improve the value proposition and capabilities needed to attract top talent.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum 10 years of recruiting experience in financial services with at least 5 of those years focused on experienced advisors
Minimum 3 years management experience with demonstrated ability to manage a geographically dispersed team to achieve annual goals
Demonstrated success in building and implementing effectiverecruitmentstrategies that maximizes the teams capabilities and yields great results
Track record of attracting and coaching top performing recruiters
Proven ability to influence others, including firm management and territory leaders, to drive performance and results
Insatiable curiosity for and perennial student of the competitive landscape and industry trends
Authentic, inclusive leadership style; personally, committed to driving improved diverse representation among financial professional population and exemplar in fostering an inclusive culture
Ability to manage a high-volume goal driven environment
Well organized strategic thinker with ability to operationalize and drive results
Strong relationship building, partnering, interpersonal and collaborative skills
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to travel up to 25%; note, this position is virtual and expected to flourish in a virtual / remote work environment
Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Compensation for this role includes a base salary and sales incentives. Salary range specific to Colorado: $115,000-350,000. Sales incentives are based upon reaching set sales goals which vary based on the covered territory. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
