Disputes & Investigations
In the current economic climate, there have been an unprecedented number of business failures, financial frauds and accounting irregularities. These and other events have resulted in regulatory interventions, investigations, financial restatements and a significant number of lawsuits.
Dealing with these matters requires a broad range of skills and experience. A&M's Disputes & Investigations (DI) practice is a leading provider of Forensic Accounting & Investigations, Dispute Advisory, Economic Consulting, Forensic Technology, Cyber Risk Management and Privacy & Data Compliance services. The firm has an established reputation for high quality work in a non-Audit environment. Our approach is characterised by a high level of objectivity, diligence and intensive analysis.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Business Development Director to be based in our Dubai office to support our Disputes & Investigations practice across the Middle East region. The successful candidate will have an established region-wide network across international law firms, global corporations and government entities and they will be an expert in selling and delivering advisory assignments including eDiscovery assignments.
Main responsibilities include
Build a robust yet flexible plan to generate deal flow and develop a sustainable business within the Disputes & Investigations practice
Expand our practice through strengthening our business, broadening our routes to market, leveraging senior relationships and working with our Middle East partnership group
Be proactive in the marketplace, developing relationships and winning new clients
Act as an internal account manager for a number of key DI practice areas, attending Business Development meetings
Coordinate with other A&M service lines to develop & expand our service offerings
Monitor and research key clients / sector areas & participate in review meetings
Own, maintain and update various information databases, such as Salesforce
Maintain & update marketing collateral, case study databases and support A&M teams on external client proposals and pitches
Maintain & develop pipeline dashboards and provide analysis and interpretation of data
Deliver periodic KPI's from Salesforce and input into the annual review process
Ideal candidates will have
Extensive experience in Business Development within a leading Middle East Advisory firm with a proven tack record of developing new client relationships and work
Well-developed interpersonal skills combined with the ability to create strong working relationships at all levels
Ability to take ownership of deliverables and work to tight deadlines in combination with a positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation
Strong communication and analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail
Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with a CRM system, ideally Salesforce
Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in Arabic is desirable
