Client Development Director, Shopper Marketing - Retailers (Keasbey, NJ)

As a member of the dedicated Inmar Shopper Marketing team, the Client Development Director (CDD) will partner closely with Customer Success and Brand/Agency Sales teams to execute and expand the Inmar Retail Media Network (Load-to-Card, Programmatic, In-Store, Social Commerce, etc.) of assigned retailer(s). The ideal candidate will gain a thorough understanding of their assigned retailer(s) go-to-market strategy and utilize that knowledge to guide discussions and gain credibility with CPGs and/or their agency partners. The Shopper Marketing CDD will ensure existing retail-specific business repeats and grows. The CDD will lead the relationship with "local" shopper marketers to capture local funds as well as partner with CPG brands (via Inmar Brand/Agency teams) to maximize brand/national investment supporting assigned retailer(s). The ideal candidate will understand the CPG and Retail landscape possessing a strong service orientation and data-driven decision making skills.

*This person MUST live within 30 minutes of Keasbey, NJ or Woodbridge Township, NJ.



Major Responsibilities:


Influence (50%)

  • Driving pipeline, & meetings leading to CPG revenue growth at both the Shopper & National level

  • Work closely with Customer Success and Account Management to ensure execution of the campaigns

  • Work closely with the District VP on client strategies

  • Maintain relationships with all buying influences within the client/prospect organization

  • Develop strategies that grow the clients top revenue and improve profitability

  • Manage internal communications garnering support and getting appropriate buy-in

  • Collaborate with client on product and service extensions that could deliver incremental value and bring Product Management into those discussions as necessary

  • Capture and communicate Voice of Customer and competitive information to product and marketing teams

  • Oversee and facilitate the execution of Insertion Orders for Retail Media Network inventory


Strategic (30%)


  • Responsible for providing new product/service ideas based on client needs and being an information source with regard to how Inmars products can provide a competitive advantage

  • Responsible for understanding the strategic goals and objectives of each client and developing sales strategies that align with Inmars clients strategies

  • Build and maintain internal networks, garnering support and getting appropriate buy-in

  • Develop and maintain expertise on industry trends, technology, best practices, and regulations of relevance to the promotion network

  • Obtain expert level understanding of Inmar product solutions with the ability to conduct demonstrations of technology in all sales stages, including late stages of sales meetings

  • Thoroughly understand clients strategic goals and objectives and translate how Inmars products and solutions align with those objectives

  • Ensure the client understands the value of the services available or being received to ensure a renewal with increased value to the company


Administrative (20%)

  • Maintain Salesforce.com records for all key account activity

  • Manage travel expenses and budgets, in line with Inmar policies

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or a related field

  • A minimum of 3-5 years consultative sales or account management experience, preferably selling programmatic media solutions and AdTech solutions and familiarity with the retailer environment

  • Proficient with Salesforce.com

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Proficient with Google Suite

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is:

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands or arms.

  • Regularly required to talk or hear and read instructions on a computer monitor and/or printed on paper.

  • Occasionally required to stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

  • Regularly required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus.
