**Job Description & Responsibilities** **:**
Senior analyst position supporting Consumer At-Risk Persons (ARP) compliance within Consumer and Small Business AML. This position will lead data-driven efforts to improve client experience and protect clients, as well as the bank, from fraudulent behavior.
Ideal candidates will understand customer, product, and time-series (i.e., workflow) data; will be able to translate complex business problems into analytics projects; and will be able to provide actionable intelligence to various levels of management, including Consumer and Small Business executives and risk leaders. Moreover, the ideal candidate will do all of the above while driving a culture of compliance and operational excellence.
Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Deploy business intelligence and reporting solutions to support ARP strategy and/or investigations
Research and develop analytical methods designed to improve the ARP process
Deploy analytical methods as production monitoring processes with emphasis on ongoing performance measurement and optimization, as well as comprehensive process documentation
Demonstrate influence through clear and crisp presentation of analytical results and recommendations to senior management
Provide routine and ad hoc reporting, measurement & monitoring of information
Prepare compelling dashboards for management and business partners
See the story in data, and clearly and appropriately summarize to audiences including audit and regulatory bodies
Build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with business, risk, and technology partners
**Required Skills** **:**
5+ years of applicable experience, including Business Intelligence/Data Exploration and Visualization tools such as Tableau
Strong knowledge and high proficiency in scripting languages to conduct common data analysis tasks for exploring, conditioning and advanced analytics such as SAS, SQL
Ability to manipulate data from structured and unstructured sources
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Ability to interact and influence with all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly motivated, proactive and a self-starter; strong sense of ownership & ability to create and execute plans with limited supervision
**Desired Skills** **:**
Masters or Bachelors in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Engineering, or Statistics
Proficiency in Python or R
Knowledge of financial and banking products, policies, operations and applicable procedures
Experience supporting highly regulated initiative in a large, complex financial institution
Familiarity with Management of Cases (MoC) workflow tool and/or Financial Investigations Unit Data Mart (FIU-DM)
