**Job Description**


The position is based in Pune, India. Database Developer with strong analytical and technical ability with 1-3 years of experience in SQL/No-SQL database/ETL / Ab Initio Development. Able to work independently, good communication skills


**Responsibilities:**


+ Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities

+ Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way thats geared towards the needs of end users

+ Maintain and improve already existing processes

+ Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable

+ Work with the business in designing and delivering correct, high quality data

+ Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions


Write technical design and testing documents and provide innovative technical solutions.


**Qualifications:**


+ 1-3 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry and in ETL / Ab Initio / Database Development

+ Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication


**Desired Skills:**


+ SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure

+ Knowledge of data modeling principles

+ Knowledge of ETL tool like Talend.

+ Knowledge of various SQL/NoSQL data storage mechanisms

+ High attention to detail

+ Knowledge of Application servers Weblogic/Tomcat, RDBMS SQL Server/ Oracle is an added advantage.

+ Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL database is an added advantage

+ Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving with ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly


**Education:**


+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience

+ Masters degree preferred
