The Associate Design Manager for 1PBNA 2North Division Design is an experienced designer who will participate in the research and development of total brand identities - from packaging, visual identify to total brand experience. This involves management and execution of work streams for key brand and graphic design projects within our Global portfolio. In this role, you will continue developing your Design Thinking capabilities and be able to apply these methodologies to help drive projects from ideation to execution. This role partners closely with crossfunctional teams and external partners to deliver quality brand design solutions. The main objective of this role is to help execute major brand design projects, strategies, and innovations. This means assisting in the planning, organization and implementation of consistent design principles and processes to ensure that the design, strategy and production guardrails are met. 1PBNA. ACCOUNTABILITIES Creative: Brand Design Development: Under direction of the Division Design Director/Senior Design Manager, you will help develop visual brand identity for specific brands in the portfolio, working in collaboration with other design leaders cutting across brand, product, packaging, marketing equipment, and advertising. You will help generate creative design proposals (visions, scenarios, concepts) and review with internal and external stakeholders. This role participates in research activities and effectively translates customer needs into actionable design requirements and solutions. Strong understanding of brand design, graphic design, packaging design, and 360-degree integrated communication design Work cross-functionally throughout PBNA North Division and the Design Center to support the Innovation and Design Collaborative, able to ideate and construct ideas within a team-based design environment Technically solid, able to illuminate ideas and visualize design stories across a variety of media Technically solid, able to illuminate ideas and visualize design stories across a variety of established and emerging digital platforms Excellent understanding of brand design, identity design, graphic design, illustration, photography, and digital/social media design Strong understanding of customer marketing, retail marketing, and retail experience design Able to make sound decisions that preserve production/executional integrity of final design outputs and brand saliency (consistency and relevance) Process: Design Project Management: Responsible for partnering across disciplines within PepsiCo and external suppliers to ensure design assets are developed and delivered with quality, value, and on-time. Act as a key project resource to help develop brand ideas and deliver project tasks within given deadlines. Collaborates with key stakeholders throughout the creative process. Regularly participates in project status reviews to verify that project deliverables are being met. Generate creative design proposals (visions, scenarios, concepts) to visualize the desired output and share it with internal and external team members Participate in research activities and effectively translate customer needs into actionable design strategy (must be able to execute those requirements into design solutions). Help drive final design recommendations, decisions, and design approval to enable artwork execution/production phases. Ensure thorough consideration of all project variables and that the final solution will perform as planned. Support the visual identity for Pepsico Beverages working in collaboration with the PBNA North Division Senior Design Manager and other design leaders across brand, product, packaging, equipment, marketing, and advertising. Develop an understanding of the North division region and its demographics in relation to our business needs. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Communication Design, Experience Design, Brand Design, or Graphic Design required. Masters degree in a Design discipline preferred. 6+ years of deep brand design experience (e.g. developing strategic brands, brand packaging, brand experiences, design systems) Extraordinary design taste Excellent typographic skills Extraordinary ability in using the Adobe Creative Suite softwares Working to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office apps, Google apps, with fluency in Microsoft Powerpoint, and/or Keynote Ability to work in ambiguous and dynamic work environment; is comfortable with risk and uncertainty Experience participating and conducting in human-centered research and presenting insights to project team Effectively collaborate across regions and functions in order to deliver on project plans Drive for results, able to influence and accomplish tasks through formal and informal channels Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
